Grocery Outlet is launching it’s annual ‘Independence from Hunger’ (IFH) food drive, focused on combating summer food insecurity. IFH runs through the month of July. All proceeds stay local and support Care Moses Lake.
The risk of food insecurity increases during the summer months, as families can also lose access to school supported food programs, and food banks deal with limited supplies. During the month-long campaign in July, Grocery Outlet will collect cash donations in-store and sell sacks of food supplies that will be donated to local non-profit, Care Moses Lake. They’ve been around since 2017 and support local non-profits. Your proceeds will help support Care programs such as Care Snacks (providing 750 Care Snack bags to the Boys & Girls Club all summer long), monthly snack donations to Kids Hope, and weekly food donations to Big Bend Community College’s Viking Food Pantry to feed local students. Other organizations who have benefited include: Youth Dynamics, the Salvation Army, Community Services (our local food bank), Downtown Moses Lake Association and more!
During the campaign when you give $5 or more, you’ll get a $5 coupon to use at your next visit at Grocery Outlet. It’s a win, win!
